  AVCHD authoring

  I’m trying to find a straightforward way of creating AVCHD DVDs, since that’s the format my HD camcorder produces and it’s a format that is supposed to play on Blu-Ray players. From the Panasonic HD Writer that came with my camera I can create this type of discs but only from the original files that the same software transferred from the camcorder to the PC, but I can’t insert a file of my choice if I did some extra editing in Vegas or other NLE.

  Nerovision allows creating AVCHD discs, but the encoder is horribly slow (1 hour of encoding per minute of footage approx.) and I heard about Ulead DVD MovieFactory with an HD plugin, but I would like to hear if anybody knows of any other solutions.
