Does the AVCHD codec used by the AG-HMC150 use 4:2:2 color space? What about the AG-HMC40? Has anyone used either of these cameras for green screening? Any issues? Thanks.

    Hi Evan,

AVCCAM is 4:2:0 and should key pretty well. If you go to the Panasonic site and watch their demo video, they show the videographer shooting a green screen music video, so it seems to work pretty well from what I saw.

I haven’t personally tried keying AVCCAM, but have keyed HDV (4:2:0) and it worked well, and the H.264 codec is better yet.

Definitely possible- though as with any format you really have to nail your green screen lighting and make sure you have proper costume, production design, makeup to make keying easy.
