    HI all,

We have been ingesting AVCHD footage from our Sony TD10 3D camcorder in Vegas. Vegas un-muxes the video into Left and Right tracks. Then batch exporting using the quicktime setting with photo-jpeg compression.

Does anyone know if there is a better codec to get the best video quality out of Vegas for ingestion into Final Cut Pro?

    Thanks!

Are you not happy with the output? Photo-JPEG is what most stock footage houses use to deliver their content. It should be fine for transfer to FCP.

I should also point out Adobe Media Encoder has no way to un-mux the 3D files if you import the MTS directly into ME. Hence the AVI intermediary from Vegas or this tool called MTS-AVI converter.
