I’ve been trying to render a 3 camera project using the 1440x1080i option in Vegas Pro 8. Each camera has a separate timeline and I’ve been using composite levels to take pieces of each camera to use in the project. I first rendered it in MPEG2 and it looked fine. When I tried to render it in AVC, Vegas shut down after about 5 minutes. I’ve successfully rendered shorter 3 camera projects in AVC with no problems. I tried to render 2 small potions of this project in looped sections and was successful. If I do this for the entire project, how do I combine all the parts into one and import them to DVDA5 as a single file? If there is a slight overlap between sections, do I have to do additional editing? Also when I render each section I have to give each one a different name to prevent overwriting the previous file. I’m not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Shot off the video tracks you are not using. Only the edited track and sound track ON when rendering to MPG2.

I you may also check the temperature of your CPU. If the CPU gets too hot the computer shots off (search vegas forum for Core Temp to monitor CPU temp).

Processing AVC takes a lots of CPU power. Do you have quad core?
