i got given footage from a p2 camera which is apparently avc intra, 1080p 25fps

its a very short deadline and i will have potentially 32gb of footage to get through. im a compositor and animator and need this footage in lossless tifs.

the director may want to have all of the footage to play with because of the nature of the piece.

anyway im rendering tiff sequences and each image is coming out at 8.3mb
    is this not crazy?

any advice on this workflow would be great, i have no idea what all this transcoding etc means it is not my job but i have been given it with no choice.

    thanks a lot guys.

    Hi Louis,

That sounds about right for HD Tiffs.

Not much of a way around it if that’s the format he wants.

    What about a PNG format?

That might give you the same clarity with a smaller file size.

Try Zipping the folder when done. TIFF’s can be compressed
