When I view AVC Intra 100 720p24 media in the viewer window all the highlites that are 90-100 IRE have tiny black speckles in them. It looks almost like high detail setting or strange zebra pattern in the camera viewfinder when shooting.

However it plays out clean from the Kona 3 or Kona LHe cards. Any knowledge out there?

    cheers,

Just in the viewer, or canvas too?

It occurs in both the viewer and canvas windows.

But since AVC Intra is only realtime preview in FCP7 I’m going to re-ingest it all as Prores HQ. That will fix both of my problem at the same time.

It’s not really a problem though correct. It just in your fcp windows and not on the sdi out or any exports. Could be something with your graphics card.

I haven’t tried exporting but no it’s not a problem with the SDI out of my Kona 3 or Kona LHe.
