I do a lot of shooting in AVC-Intra 100 and I am wondering what the best practices for working with this format in FCPX are. Up until now I have been transcoding to Prores and it’s been working fine, However I am wondering if I am wasting time doing so. For those of you working with AVC-Intra are you transcoding or staying in the native codec for editing?

    Thanks,

As with DVCProHD, I don’t think you have a choice. In FCP legacy you could work in or with DVCproHD codec natively, but not in X.
