Avc Intra and viper hd Stream
Hi, I’ll be shooting a documentary using a Viper camera and a panasonic HGP20 recorder. The Viper provides 422 hd video stream at a 25psf framerate (that’s what we’ll be using) but noticed that the recorder uses an AVCINTRA compression and a 50i framerate. Guess that, as long as the camera will be feeding a sort of interlaced footage of progressive scanning, I won’t have motion artifacts while editing… but not sure about that. I ran some tests and didn’t notice anything strange, but would like to know if someone has experience in that kind of situations and if you have some advice to give.
Would also like to know what would be the correct settings for the timeline (apple pro res 422 HQ is my bet…)
Does anyone knows if final cut is compressing the signal while tranfering AVCINTRA into a .mov apple pro res container?
