I’ve poked around the forum and can’t find an answer, so forgive me if this is a simple thing everyone should know.

When I’m capturing via composite in, I’m not able to take in the signal as DV – I’m limited to Blackmagic DV50. What I want is Blackmagic DV, but my card (Extreme) doesn’t see it.

Is that how it’s ‘sposed to be?

    Hi Budrick21,

No, you should be able to capture to DV via composite as well. Are you capturing using Final Cut Pro or Blackmagic Deck Control?

    regards

I’m using the BM NTSC-DV easy setup- that is, Blackmagic deck control, presumably. It shows no video input. If I use the BM NTSC-DV50 setup, then I see video.

Is there something I should do differently?
