AV1x workaround with Premiere?
Alright, so my editor is a Mac user, he uses Avid. He’s just given me a file with a .mov extension. I assumed it would work, but no such luck.
I can’t even get VLC to play it. I’ve done some research and it seems its a Native Avid Format.
Is there a codec pack out there that would let me use this type of file with premiere? Thanks!

Hi Christian,
If you open the inspector in Quicktime, it will tell you what the codec is.
If he has Final Cut installed on the same system, it could be Prores. There is a decoder you can download for Windows.
