I exported my timeline as a QT mov. to a minidrive And noticed that it contained av 1 av 2 av 3 elements.
When I sent this to an associate there was difficulty importing. Any reasons. -

The drive is most likely formatted FAT32, which has a 4GB file size limit. So the main export is bring broken up into smaller files. Format the drive as MacOS Extended and export again.
