There’s something about the autosave feature I don’t get.

If I leave it on, my project gets saved every 5 minutes. Great news. But the autosave list stays empty and the project gets basically overwritten.

It’s only if I choose the option “to backup project” that a file make it to the actual autosave list, but then, 5 minutes later, the file gets overwritten again. Worst, that “precious” file disappear if I manually save my project or if I choose to put the autosave on once the list has started to build itself up.

Is there a way to get incremental autosave, or should I continue to export my whole project on, let’s say, an hourly basis? What do you guys usually do?

    Thanks

    Benoit

    Yes, That’s exactly what I do .
Whenever a client starts to get “creative” you should save as and keep the session for your own good.
You can of course use versions for the clipss too, but one solid file with everything in is nice

Thank you Sascha (For this answer as well as all your other answers I’ve read on the forum)

So the way the autosave feature react on my system looks perfectly normal to you? It looked strange to me. I just wish I could add 5 or 10 incremental autosaves to the list in case the project gets corrupted…

I agree, that would be nice…But it also would be a very lengthy process to create a new database entry with the whole show every time.
