    Hi,

I’ve got to do someone playing a ‘fake’ guitar, the girl is standing there pretending to strum, and I need to put a ‘felt’ guitar in her hands.

Now there were tracking marks on her, so the movement of the guitar I could automate from trackers. Good. But there were none on her hands. I got her ‘fret’ hand tracked ok, but her strumming hand I can’t, so i’m going to manually do it.

Problem being, i’ve done the mask on her ‘fret’ hand to let her fingers show through the frets by having the tracking info go to a null, then automating a solid layer with a mask on it and applying a ‘trackmatte’ to the guitar, but now I can’t apply another trackmatte to another solid for the same guitar layer, can I? If so, I can’t figure out how.

If that makes any sense, then any help would be appreciated.

Here’s a pic that might help
