Automatically ripping massive DVD archive
Our church archived direct to disc for many, many years before we were able to convert to a digital-only workflow. As a result, we have accumulated roughly 7-8 years (!) of DVDs that need to be ripped for digital archiving – literally hundreds of discs.
I been working for a number of months to find a way to rip a DVD automatically when inserted into a drive in order to make this job feasible. The handful of utilities and scripts that I have found thus far have been nonfunctional for one reason or another.
Is anyone here familiar with an application/utility/platform that is capable of automatically ripping video from DVDs? Or failing that, has anyone had a similar situation needing to digitize DVDs in large quantities?
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
