I’m a beginner in AE btw. How can you make a lower thirds that automatically compresses text inside a box? Coz i don’t want to edit the characters manually.
And second is how to morph/shrink the same text? Just like how CNN lower thirds work. I’m using CS4. Thanks in adv for your responses.

you can do it with later versions of creative cloud versions of ae… adobe added a sourceRectAtTime() expression function that can determinate the size of a text layer that can then be used to create a ‘shrink-to-fit’ expression to scale text layer to fit a maximum size.
