Every time I open a project, I try to remember to reset the scratch to a specific folder which is related to that project. That way, I can keep all media files for that project in one place. But sometimes I forget, and media files from another project get mixed in with this or that etc. etc.

Is there any way to have FCP automatically set the scratch to a predefined place for each project, each time that project is opened?

    Thanks

not exactly…however if you set FCP to use a disk (not a specific folder) as a scratch disk, it automatically creates folders for each project and keeps everything separate.
