    there was a time when I was working off of someone elses FCP, on their laptop. They had it set up that every-time I pressed the B ( razorblade) it would automatically cut my time-line. How do I go about setting that up to automatically cut my sequence.

    You could remap the keyboard, with the keyboard layout tool, but there already is another keyboard command for this. It’s control+v.
