Not ADL, but we did a music video where singers had to lip sync to a master track.

[Murray Nelson] “anyone doing ADR with Vegas Pro 9???”

I know Roger Bansemer does. He is a regular here at the COW and was featured in Sony’s latest Newsletter. He has a new PBS series “Painting and Travel with Roger and Sarah Bansemer” and sometimes the noise at the locations that he shoots forces him to do some ADR. It usually takes him a day to do a 30 minute episode. I do the finishing editing on his show. I also do ADR on my tutorials sometimes if I slip on a word that doesn’t make sense. So if you have questions… just ask them. Vegas is awesome and dead simple for doing ADR.

ADR is quite amazing in Vegas. I purchased an audio DVD from VAAST by Douglas Spotted Eagle and he talked about the use of the M-Audio Pro-fire 610 which helps in getting good audio. I purchased it and plug in my XLR mikes to it and it works great.
Vegas has the ability to keep doing “takes” if you loop an area so if your ADR isn’t what you like, it keeps looping and then you get to choose which take fits best so in that way you can just keep the clip running and replace the dialog until you get it right. Sort of automated way of accomplishing the ADR.
