automate puppet pin renaming
is there a way to automate renaming puppet pins with respective layer’s name as prefix and have the default numbers of the pins as suffix?
i would appreciate if someone can let me know a way to do this.

I have a very basic script that may help. Put it in the ScripUI Panels folder then restart After Effects.
It is then available from the Window Menu. No warranties expressed or implied.
Select the layer with the puppet pins and either enter a new name or click the checkbox to use the layer name.
This assumes no other effects are applied. All Pins have the same name with a numeric suffix.

The script is very basic and won’t return an error if you have no puppet pins or the Puppet effect is not the first one in the Effects panel stack.
