  • automate archiving folder of qt movies to new folder of qt movies? Scripts?

I’d like to take a folder of high-res source footage and simply tell after effects to go get that folder, re-render everything (correctly interpreting the interlacing) with a bit of compression so that I can archive it more easily. I know how to set up a preset output module, etc. but is this something scripts can help me with? I found this script:
    https://www.aenhancers.com/viewtopic.php?t=358&highlight=automate+batch+render
but it sounds like it’s PC only, and I’m not sure how I make it “go” on my mac. Maybe in a terminal window?
Can someone point me toward a tutorial or script that will help me add some automation to my archiving? I can sort out the details of the variables, but I need a bit of help on the process, and would need the basic script that I can tweak.
    Thanks for any input,
    Greg.
