autoalign large amount of clips on timeline
hi, i need to apply an effect to roughly 100 single clips and then convert them to a different size and format.
i thought about throwing all clips into one comp and render them all as one long movie.
my question is… is there a way to auto aling them on the timeline so that every clip starts where the previous one ended so that i do not have to place each clip by hand on the timeline.
another question ….. is there a better solution for what i am trying to accomplish? applying an effect to multiple clips… similar to a photoshop action or droplet? that maybe does not involve making one large comp but instead automatically applying the same “action” to each single clip > rendering > saving. all automagically
heres exactly what i am trying to do:
i got 1920×108 hd cam footage in .mts format.
there are about 100 clips and i need to apply the same effect on each clip.
then i need to render them to 1280×720 size for further editing in premiere -

To arrange layers so that one starts where the previous one ends, use the Sequence Layers keyframe assistant.
To save a set of properties, effects, et cetera, consider saving an animation preset.
If you really are applying the same effect to all of the layers, and they’re all sequenced, then you may find that adding an adjustment layer at the top of the layer stack in the composition works for you.
Finally, regarding rendering and exporting each “clip”: Jeff Almasol provides a Render Layers script that may be what you need.
