auto white balance, as in Photoshop?
is there a way to do this in AE, like in Photoshop, Levels function?
I’d like to pick a white point and a black point using the eye dropper.

The Auto Color effect will get you close… you can’t use an eyedropper to pick your white & black points but it does a pretty good job.

Are you doing this in order to maintain proper levels for NTSC? If so, then use levels adjustment and set your black output to 10 and white to 245.
