auto size columns…everytime and other mac os questions.
I do video editing and need to see the titles of the files in which I am working with. Everytime I open the finder the columns are the same size. I need them to open as autosized rather than having to use the handles to drag (or double click…since I have lion). Also, what are the keyboard shortcuts to change the “item arrangement”. Is there a keyboard shortcut (such as windows 7) that moves windows to various parts of the screen (windows 7 had a great idea here)

Column view comes in a standard size like that – perhaps you should consider using a different view if that one isn’t working for you (I prefer list, although without enough coffee today I can’t give you the logic behind it).
Get “Better Snap Tool” if you want to keep windows in the same space and auto resize them, etc. I’m assuming you’re not on lion, because spaces does something of the same thing, especially in expose mode.

Oh, just remembered why I avoid column view. It doesn’t allow for quick sorting when you’re in a folder. Sometimes I want to see a folder by date or alphabetically. That’s kind of a pain when in column view.
