Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy auto select???

  • Posted by Zeliha Bozkurt on April 7, 2006 at 5:55 pm

    hi

Is there an auto select tool in Final cut?

Say I selected a clip on the timeline and worked on it. Eventhough I move my curser to a different point on the timeline thhe previous clip I had worked on is still selected and therefore modified.

Is there a solution to this issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Zee 🙂

Not sure I understand the question. Every clip you select will remain selected till you de-select it or select another clip. Not sure what you mean by “auto-select”.

    Hope this helps-

Sure. Touch the cursor to a BLANK area above the video tracks.

The highlighted clip will be released.

Sorry to say, but it’s the way it’s supposed to be. It’s actually preferable this way – you might be changing the parameters of that first clip based on what the 2nd one looks like, for instance…
