auto select clip that you “click-on” in viewer
To select a clip I click on it within the timeline. Sometimes, when I click in the viewer it selects that specific clip…I am then able to move it around, tranform, brings up it’s setting etc. Sometimes when I click in the viewer nothing happens. I am wondering what I am missing that allows me to click on a clip in the viewer and then have that corresponding click become selected.
For example, I have three images in the same shot. I want to move one image left, one image right, and then transform the others. I have to move from timeline to the viewer, timeline to the viewer, and then timeline to the viewer…I would prefer to click on each image in the viewer and move them quickly without having to go what to the timeline…much like you can do in photoshop (Auto select layer or auto select group).
Is there a way to do this. FCP7 had a keyboard shortcut to select specific timeline layers (V1, V2, V3 etc), but this is obviously not an option in FCPX.
Thanks all
