    Hi Guys,

    So i have a client that needs some shine applying to, guess what… an ipad visual. This then turns and you get the shine moving over the ipad screen, yes we have all seen it done!

    What i was figuring is that I create a comp outside of the final 3d comp. In here it would be a simple black bg with a white solid at an angle.

    Now the tricky part, i recon I need to link the y rotation of the null that controls the pad visual in the 3d comp, to the horizontal position of the white solid in the “shine” comp. Thus enabling the shine to move in proportion to how much y-rotation i apply.

    I’m a bit of a noob with expressions so please excuse my ignorance, but see the expression as to what I was thinking.

    That being applied to the position property of the white solid.

    a=(comp("_Default").layer("3D Object").transform.yRotation)/2
