I am working in a 720×576 (non square pixels) project timeline to finally master a PAL- SD 16 x 9 project. I import a 720×576 (non square pixels) .PSD, Open it (as a sequence) and all looks fine.

However if I create a new sequence then copy a layer or two from the previous PSD sequence and paste (it or them) into the new sequence that I have just created, that new sequence then appears to take on the aspect ratio of the largest layer and scale said PSD layers to fill the frame.

I have searched and checked and read, now I am really confused.
It’s not that difficult is it? This is driving me nuts, what am I missing here? All I want to do is to continue working in the same frame size and aspect ratio as my timeline and graphics.

    Please FCP gurus, enlighten me

Of course, it worked! Thanks again Rafael,
I wonder is there anywhere I can “turn off” this auto scale and distort such that I can simply work in my chosen project size?
