My goal is to do what happens in this seemingly awesome projection plugin that doesn’t work for CC 2019 ☹

I’ve motion tracked footage and then built a 3D scene out of solids and projected my footage onto them. My next step is to make a second camera that points only at one of my solids being projected onto so I can get a stable section to work on. I can’t figure out how to get this camera to point squarely at the solid and also center the solid perfectly. He apparently does this with some script or something. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

If you parent the camera to the solid, set it’s point of interest to the solid’s position and then match the X and Y coordinates for the solid’s position and finally set the Z coordinates of the camera to be -500 and make sure you have zeroed any rotation/orientation that the camera should be looking squarely at the solid.
