I’m not sure if this is strcly speaking a Premiere question but as it’s a case of generating ‘titles’ I’ll start here. Apologies if it’s the wrong place.

A while ago I saw a demo of Production Studio (1) and the person auto generated a whole bunch of titles or lower thirds. He started from a template title containing some text placeholders (may have been a PSD file) and a notepade (CSV?) file or something and as a batch command generated a new instance of the title with each piece of placeholder text substituted for the text on one row of the file. Sort of a mail-merge for generating titles.

Can anyone remind me how this is done please? Can’t find anything obvious in the docs but I’ve seen it done so know it’s possible.

OK. Found the answer after a bit more digging. It’s a Photoshop thing. Variables, data sets..
