we’ve been getting some random cylinder lock messages on our camera…
    which of course scares us…

but as i started thinking what could be wrong…i noticed that all the locks cam while using a certain battery that we always start shoots with..but whose battery life is not that great…

is it possible for a poor battery to cause cylinder locks ? or is a much more serious issue ?

    thanks

It indicates a fault in the tape transport system. This can happen if the camera suffers an impact i.e. is dropped. Sometimes it develops on its own too. It needs to be serviced. If it’s under warranty and the camera was not dropped it will be fixed for free.

One year from date of purchase from authorized Panasonic dealers. Grey market imports have no warranty.

No prob- PS I should say grey markets have no U.S. warranty. Typically they can be shipped for a fee to Japan for service.
