Auto-Comp Names
Is there a way to edit/stop After Effects (version 6.5) from adding the text “Comp 1” to compositions when you drag media to the comp button and select “multiple compositions”???
I want the comp names to be the same as the original not adding “Comp 1” to every composition!!

Nope, that’s a safety mechanism to avoid having 2 items with the same name. You cannot disable that behavior (unless there’s a secret keyboard shortcut noone told me about???). You could however use a script to create your comps. I think there’s something like that floating around somewhere…
