auto-addition of field shifts
You know this ‘smart’ utility. FCP adds a fieldshift-filter whenever you insert a clip into a sequence with other field-priority.
Is there any way to disable this option? -

Short answer: no you can’t disable it. Why would you want to anyway?

somehow my blackmagic interface does the field-correction already, so when the filter is added, the priority is off again.

What source clips, sequence settings and video output setting are you using?
