Hi need help with something I’m a Audio Engineer and know nothing about video but I have been learning Encore for the sole purpose to author audio only surround BD’s
I have the DTSHD MA software and I have created the 5.0 Surround file The menus are fine and also the playback of the audio but the chapters don’t work I’m trying this with no video does encore need video to utilize chapter marks?
Also if it does can I make a black dummy video and what is the best way to make the video can I make a black jpeg and use the slideshow technique?
    Thanks in advance

    Robert,
encore could not author DTSHD MA. you need to work with a different software.

the most easy way would be to use DVD Logic EasyBD: https://www.dvd-logic.com/easybd/

    you need EasyBD Studio + IG-Editor 1.4.

Note: these tools are PC-only, and has a learning-curve.

all other tools are a lot more expensive like scenarist, dostudio or sony blu-print.

DTSHD MA works in CS6 I played it back and it plays at the full resolution 24/96

that’s right, encore cs 6 added the ability to have DTSHD-MA as source audio.

Robert, try using black only video, you could probably set
the bitrate on the video extremely low since there is nothing
that will look bad if it’s just black.
