Aurora Borealis
I’m trying to make a ‘northern lites’ look eminating up from a circle that is tilted back in 3D space. I got a pretty nice effect with Trapcode Shine, from a little tutorial to build a 3D gobo.
Still, this has a more ‘crown of light’ look – I need something a bit more organic, more adjustable.
Anyone have experience with this look? Or know of a particle sys. for AE that can emit particles along a line or path in Z space?

check out trapcodes own site with tutorials and sample projects from artists. I seem to remember there was a Northern Lights setup.
