Any thoughts on this shotgun microphone – ??
I want to use it at the end of my boom for both interviews and outside shooting?? Will it do what I need it to do?Thanks

It wouldn’t be my first choice but yes it will do the job. Be sure you get some type of windscreen for outside use. Will you be connecting the mic to a mixer and then to a camera or to the camera directly? Adjusting levels on the camera while shooting causes lots of problems, get a mixer to go between the mic & the camera for better results on all fronts.

Yes I have a wind screen for it and yes I am putting it through a mixer and then onto camera – – Out of interest…what would be your first choice? And would this be your 2nd choice or how far down the line would it come??

For a self powered mic it’s as good as other like that. Self powered mics are never my first choice. Any mic I would recommend are in the over $1000 category & up.
