I recently did a 5.1 mix using Soundtrack pro, and used a lot of sub-mixes to control the levels of sets of music, FX etc.
I have been trying the same job in Audition as I want to use it more in the future, and I’m having trouble with busses. I can route a 5.1 set to a bus, and it will then solo that set, but that is all it will do, I can’t control the volume and effects added to the bus do nothing. the manual and tutorials make it look dead simple, and it probably is, so what am I doing wrong?

    Hi James,

Any chance you can post a screenshot of your configuration? When assigning an audio track output to a Bus, the Bus track controls should adjust the relative levels of those inputs. If you created a 5.1 Bus, you should also be able to adjust or automate the surround panner. Feel free to e-mail your .SESX file (not the media – just the session file) to audbugs@adobe.com and I’ll be happy to take a look.

    Thanks,
Durin (Product Lead for Adobe Audition)
