  Audition 2.0 surround doesn’t sound like surround

  I have a neophyte question about the surround encoder in audition 2.0. I have a creative x-fi xtreme gamer sound card with an ASIO driver. When I experiment with the surround panner, I don’t get the results I would expect. For example, if I move the panner to extend the line coming out of the icon of the rear right speaker, I can still hear the audio coming from the left front speaker. What am I missing here? Is there a bug?
