i’m a somewhat new dvx 100 user and i recently shot a video for a band from my area. it was a simple “performance” style video.i shot in standard 24p so even though the footage is 24p, i’m cutting in a 29.97 timeline. i shot about 30 takes and obviously used an 8 count “click track” added to the song the band played along to.

the band played along precisely to the song and all the video in my timeline is synced up dead on to the “studio” song, but i noticed that about halfway through each take, the video becomes about 5-10 frames out of sync with the “studio” song until the end of the clip.

its not a matter of me fixing it, i can do that even though it is a bit of a pain, i just want to know why it’s doing this and how to prevent this from happening. i tried using the sync tool in FCP, but i dont think that’s applicable for my issues.

could it be my camera settings, or my FCP settings?

    any help is greatly appreciated.
