When i go to log and capture, there’s a tab that shows sliders to adjust video and audio levels during capture… Though they seem to be greyed out and i cannot adjust them ??? Do these actually work or do i need some additional hard/soft ware….? thanks….

Capturing DV files is NOT adjustable.

If you buy an analog capture card, some come with software that allows adjustment.

With digital, its generally better to not adjust during capture and make corrections during the edit.
