  • Audio will play back but Video is completely scrambled?

    Hello all,

I’ve been a user of FCP7 for years, and now making my maiden voyage into Premiere. This is my first time importing footage and as stated above; the audio will play back but the video is completely scrambled? I’ve also bought the Adobe “Classroom in a Book” and all the video provided on the included disc is doing the same thing. The video that plays back is a slightly scrambled image of whatever I just watched on my internet browser. Currently using Ver 7.2.2 of CS6.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    -Anthony

Hi Anthony. We need more information about your system, including the video card you have. In addition what are formats/codecs of the footage in question?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

    That info would probably help:

    iMac 2013
Processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 1024 MB
    Software OS X 10.9.5
Adobe Premiere Pro CC ver 7.2.2

I also have FCP7 running on the same computer, and currently have no operating issues with that
