    HI.

I want to create an audio spectrum wave form which reacts to one of my layers.

I have 7 layers in the timeline. 3 of them is sounds FX in wav formats and 1 is the original sound from the main footage, rest is solids.

Can I use AE own audio spectrum to follow/react to the sound of the main footage which is the main character speaking??

Or what is the approch on this?

If I understand your question, the answer is yes. Read up on the Audio Spectrum effect here and read on the Audio Waveform effect here.

    Thanks Michael.

I am at work right now and will try it out as soon as I get home 🙂

The idea is that, I am creating a heads up display, and I want to create some sort of a voice gadget in the bottom of the screen, so when I speak I want the audio levels to react.

So I hope the audio spectrum is suitable for this.
