Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy audio waveforms take ages to appear

    Are you zoomed way out? The more timeline you are seeing the longer it takes to draw the waveforms. I always zoom in a bit and they display much quicker.

    You can increase the size of your waveform cache in your preferences. Try it and see if it helps. You might still have to wait a while for the initial caching, but thereafter you should have better performance.

    already 33g assigned to cache – the audio clips are 30 minutes or less
