audio waveforms take ages to appear
Posted by Peter Ralph on July 10, 2006 at 2:53 pm2g G5 and the waveforms for 30 minute 2 audio tracks can take minutes to appear
any suggestions?

July 10, 2006 at 2:58 pmAre you zoomed way out? The more timeline you are seeing the longer it takes to draw the waveforms. I always zoom in a bit and they display much quicker.

July 10, 2006 at 11:44 pmYou can increase the size of your waveform cache in your preferences. Try it and see if it helps. You might still have to wait a while for the initial caching, but thereafter you should have better performance.
