Hey all. I have been out of the editing loop for a while and am just now getting back to it. I make counter strike 1.6 movies for fun as well as sometimes for a living (it is a first person shooter for those who dont know).

one movie i once made i specifically remember using AE for. it was to create what i would call… lets say a audio map. like you know how audio visualizers (i.e. WMP, iTunes, WinAmp) at times they just have the line that is horizontal on the screen and there are “peaks” that match up with the music.

    i.e. –^\/\/\/^\^–

i KNOW i have done this with AE before, i just cant remember for the life of me how to recreate it.

i would really appreciate some help with this guys. plz respond asap! and thanks in advance!

    cheers,
    vannny
