I’m having a little trouble trying to figure out the best procedure to handle audio volume levels on the timeline. On the timeline do you keep the same audio volume level all the way through the clip? Example leaving it on -0.1dB throught the whole clip and adjusting the volume up and down with the volume envelope. Whats the best setting to keep the audio volume setting at? What would You keep the Master Audio control set at? You never change the Master control once you set it throughout a clip do you? Thanks for your help………….Gary

The thing about the Master Vol Bus is that it increases or decreases the level of everything right through the time line.

If everything is equally too loud or quiet, then this may be fine, but generally any tweaking is done over time using envelopes, either at the individual track level, or if all tracks need taking up or down together at a particular stage, with a Master Volume Track.

The other controls you have are Track sliders, which again affect everything on that track, or Event Gain by dragging down the top of an audio event. These are handy if a particular event is consistently louder or softer than neighboring events.
