  • Audio Visualizer: changing color with audio keyframes

Posted by Meredith Bugel on March 8, 2012 at 3:10 am

    Hello,
I am an intermediate AE user and I am creating a Audio visualizer. I am doing this project where I am recording people’s yells and screams. Basically I want color to change as the dBs in a sound wave change.

Say white is zero dB and red is 50db, so the louder someone screams, the redder it gets.

My problem is my lack of knowledge in expressions.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks
    Meredith

    Hi,

    Apply Tint to your layer.
“Map Black” and “Map White” map to red.
Then “Amount to Tint” parent to you audio keyframes.

Maybe that`s not elegant solution, but it works pretty good without expressions.
If you need exactly expressions variant, please let me know.
