September 29, 2022 at 10:14 amHi,
I have two days camera and audio, a Tentacle sync was used so we could post sync with timecode in DaVinchi Resolve. However the Audio / Cam TC is 4 sec 15 frames out on every clip. So how to fix this quickly is the question.
There are no handle lengths when you sync with timecode in DaVinchi, the connection to the original media is broken. If there was I could pull the audio tracks in the timeline and manually snap the edits back together.
Is there a way to batch reset the timecode on all the audio by 4 sec 15 frames?
Or will I have to do all the footage one clip at a time. Also the sync to waveform doesn’t really work that well with the footage, it’s documentary and most of it was exterior so the camera’s built in mic/ scratch track has too much wind noise.
Thanks,
Neal

Hmm, not familiar with DaVinci Resolve. Have you tried this?:

Maybe the DaVinci tool s not up to the challenge. Have you tried the VLC Media Player?

September 30, 2022 at 2:39 amyou have to sync clip by clip and slip align the audio waveforms. There is no batch offset in resolve. it helps if you have a clapper. there’s 3rd party tools for offsetting timecode, but the issue is that you’re going sub-frame.
