  • Audio – video offsett after rendering (plug-ins’ problem?)

    Hello,

I edited an 70’s film in poor quality with video and audio plug-ins.

After rendering to .AVI, the offset between audio and video was about 3 sec.

But, when I opened THAT (rendered) avi in Vegas (without plug-ins)
when I tried to match audio and video, these were matched in first 20 secs, but on, let say, 1:20 of film the audio has offset.

When I render other stuff without plug-ins (home video) things are perfect…

    Assuming that Plug-ins making mess….

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

If the offset is consistant over time you can correct it by turning on the “ignore event groupings” and adjusting the length of either the video or audio. Adjusting is done simply by holding the CTRL key while moving the end point of the clip. At some point you should get them back into sync. You will have to experiment with the adjustment. I would suggest setting up a short preview loop at the end and play it while you adjust the clip end.

If the offset is not consistant over time it will be more difficult.

Thanks, but as I said, that offset is not constant.

When I match audio to video in 10th minute, in 30th audio is about 1/2 sec earlier, and in 1:20 is about 2 secs… Weird…
