Audio Underrun on DV Device
Hi guys,
I’m having difficulties exporting a timeline to tape with XPress Pro. It works fine for roughly fifteen to twenty minutes but then aborts and gives me the error: “Excpetion: Audio Underrun on DV Device.” It happens at random points and never repeats the error at the same point.
I wary of trying insert where it stopped recording because I’m prepping this for an online master.
I am running Xpress Pro 5.6.2 on a PowerMac G5 with Dual 2Ghz, 2.5 GB Ram. OSX v10.4.7 with a LaCie 1Tb Big Disk connected via Firewire 800. I am exporting to a Panasonic AG-DVX100A via FW 400.
Any ideas?

How complicated is your edit, and what resolution are you working at?
You might want to try duplicating your sequence and doing a video mixdown of your duplicate. Then try to lay the video mixdown to tape. Also, if you are running with Mojo it could be causing problems. Try disconnecting it and then output to tape.

It’s a pretty simple edit. No titles or effects. And we’re not using a Mojo. I’m still looking for a work around.

We too have run in to the same thing on at least one G5 where I work.
