audio tracks not same length

Audio tracks do not move when played, so I don’t know what you mean when you say you must begin at the beginning to get them synched. If they are synched at the beginning, they should stay that way elsewhere. Different audio tracks can drift out of synch, but that is not fixed by starting at the beginning.

Also, what version of Vegas are you using, and how fast is your computer?

hello Bob,
first of all i have my main audio track (backing track for music),its mp3 format. I attached a pic.Its the violet track,the very last one.You can see on the pic that its shorter.But when i play it even it reaches the end part of that track it still continues.I mean on the time line its already finish but in real its not yet.Thats why the track above it in brown is much longer.Because its the layer audio track that i recorded to add more instruments.When i play the song from the beginning it will go as normal.Synch with each other even the data on the last track is already finish.But if i will play it on the middle part,they wont sync.And i need to do it a lot of times when i need to cure or edit the other tracks.Before i always have all tracks same length in my previous projects.Only this one i encountered this problem.So im having hard time bcoz everytime i need to edit i need to play it from the beginning not like before that i can just click any part on the track.Sorry,if i have hard time explaining my problem.Really appreciate any help or suggestions you can give.Maybe its on settings? Im using vegas pro10…regards

Is it possible that you have additional audio tracks that arent visible? You mentioned you had not added any video to your project yet the scroll bar indicates that you have other tracks that may not be visable and you need to scroll up to see them. I bet you have another audio track that you aren’t seeing.
