Audio track – Fill rigt with left
Until now I was used to record my comments with a mono-channel microphone and create a stereo effect using the “Fill with left” audio effect . I am now using Premiere 2019 and when I bring the “Fill with left” effect over the audio track, the pointer of my mouse display a “no entry icon” and I am unable to apply the effect (same problem with the “Fill with rright” effect.
Is there an explaination to this situation and a way to correct it? -

Hi Dave, if I understand correctly, instead of duplicatind the right channel on the left channel, if shall have the same sound if I center the track . In this case how can I center an audio track?
Furthermore, for which reason is it now impossible to apply the “Fill with right” effect in the Premiere 2019 issue? -
Yes Dave I understand that filling one channel with the other one does’nt create a stereo but since my TV audio output is connected with my 7.1 Pioneer audio, the sound is much more fine when it comes from both sides of the TV.
I am now recording my voice over with a new mono-channel microphone in a stereo audio track but when I try to drag some audio effects (like Panning, Fill with right/left…) I get a “do-not-enter” icon on my mouse pointer. May be this problem is a consequence of recording with a mono-channel microphone. Do you have a solution to correct this situation? -
bring your audio in as mono or before editing into a timeline right click and modify to mono.

Hi Philippe,
I often use the exact effect you are talking about. I wonder if perhaps the audio track in your Sequence is actually a MONO track and not a stereo track and that is why Premiere won’t let you use the FILL effect?
Can you see L and R tracks in the audio?

When I drag a stereo audio file in the track where my voice over rushs are, I can clearly see both channels (see figure below)
